Ladies and Gents,

The IAM have revised the Skill for Life Course and the new standard will be implemented from the end of June. We have the new materials, including the new observer guidebook, and we will hold a training session for observers to introduce the new system on Saturday 18 June.

All RAM observers (National, Senior, Qualified, Local and Trainees) are cordially invited to attend this session which will be held in the Lifewise Centre beginning at 10:00 am. The session is expected to last no more than 2 hours and will comprise a presentation and then a question and answer session lead by Martyn. The new documentation will be available for collection this Saturday 11 June. Observers please collect the new materials, if you can, and have a read before 18 June. That will help speed and inform the discussion.

Please note that there will be no organised guidance on 18 June. However, observers can make individual arrangements with associates for sessions after the training is complete. Associates please speak to your own observer to arrange this guidance.

Finally, please note that this new system will only apply to associates recruited after the end of June. Our current associates will continue to use and be assessed against the old system.

If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to any of the guidance team.
